Introduction
When overseeing an event, knowing the number of people and traffic to your Event Website can be valuable information. Using a Google Analytics Measurement ID, you can figure out information such as how visitors are finding your Website (for example, through Facebook, Twitter, etc.), which pages are most popular (both page views and duration of the visit) on your Website, and level of traffic to your Website. Google Analytics offers powerful Website tracking features, and best of all it’s free to use!
Note: This feature is not available for all Grenadine plans. If you are interested in adding Google Analytics to your subscription, please contact Grenadine support.
Google Analytics in Grenadine
Grenadine Event Websites are compatible with Google Analytics 4 properties. If you don’t have your own Google Analytics 4 property to use with your custom domain, we recommend you get one. Below you will find documentation from Google on how to do just that:
Google Analytics 4 Property Setup
Once you’ve completed your Analytics setup, you should have a Measurement ID in the format:
G-**********
If you have obtained the correct Measurement ID, you can input the ID in the Event Information form of Grenadine Admin. In the Advanced Options section of the Event Information form, save your Google Analytics Measurement ID in the Google Analytics 4 Property field. When people start visiting your Website, you’ll get statistics on the number of users, page views, duration of stay, and more!
Quick Tip: If you’ve enabled the Grenadine Event Guide mobile app for attendees, we’ll automatically link it with your Google Analytics properties.
